The new 12 team College Football Playoff begins this season. The teams selected will be the five highest ranked conference champions and seven at large slots. The top four will almost certainly come from the P4 leagues with the last automatic bid coming from the G5. The top four teams will get a 1st round bye. The seven at large will be strictly resume based, and can come from any team in any conference. It's assumed that most, if not all, at large slots will come from the 35 teams in the 'Power 2', the SEC, Big Ten + Notre Dame. The 'Longshots' category means a team can either still win their conference, or still play their way into an at-large bid. These are record based only, I'm still working on a model for a resume profile that includes SOS and best wins.
